Name giving ceremonies are becoming more popular as people are choosing to have a public welcoming to the community for their new child that is not necessarily religious.
The ceremony can be long or short and involve any number of people. There could be god/dess parents, mentors or special people nominated or the entire gathering can be called upon to make promises for the care and nurturing of the child.
Traditions from relevant cultures could be incorporated into the ceremony. The ceremony could be held in the person’s house, garden or down the beach or in the forest.
The ceremony may involve the use of symbols such as candles and things from the natural environment.
The possibilities are limitless as there are no legal requirements or religious rites to be followed.

My standard all-inclusive fee for a name giving
ceremony is $300.
